"He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming quickly.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus." Revelation 22:20.
“And behold, I am coming quickly. Blessed is he who heeds the words of the prophecy of this book.” Revelation 22:7.
My Dear Reader, is this something that you pray for, the swift, quick return of Jesus? Throughout the various prophets of old, in the Old Testament, we read of times when in their distress that the people of God cried out to Him. After yesterday's voting results I mourned the loss of life that's been legalized. It has greatly increased my resolve to certainly pray those passages that speak to Jesus coming quickly.
The world indeed is embracing evil continually and not just embracing, its celebrating it. Yesterday's passage was to bring to mind the warning from God concerning to beware of those who call good, evil, and evil as good.
Yesterday at work I came upon a situation where I really realized that I was face-to-face with someone with a seared conscience. Someone who's truly demon possessed and has indeed exchanged the truth of God for a lie.
We're not living in a world that's getting better. We will never see that day. After the judgments of the book of Revelation, only then, will mankind see what a thousand years of peace under the rule of Jesus looks like.
Our world is tumbling down farther and farther from what's right and true.
Those who live in God's truth are going to become the persecuted in more and more places.
Oh how my groanings are in the form of that thought "Even so, come quickly Lord Jesus".
Do you try to go through life with blinders on? Always looking down and away from the evil that's prevalent in society? Do you at all just hope nobody notices you and hopefully leaves you alone? Satan doesn't work that way. Him and his minions know what the Bible says probably better than most people do. That those who seek to live Godly in Christ Jesus are going to suffer...and he cares not who suffers...so long as they do suffer.
Be it man, woman or child, the Bible says that he seeks to kill and destroy. The lives of those hidden in Christ Jesus, he must seek permission to touch. Even then, he is extremely limited on what he's allowed to do. He isn't permitted at any time to stop the Spirit's plan of transformation in a Believer. The sanctification of Believers is the plan of God for all who believe that Jesus is their Savior.
My inner man weeps for those children in all corners of this world who are being told that they have no right to live by either the state or by their own parents with these laws that have been passed.
I am reminded of what it says in Samuel where, upon the cries of the people to give them a King, that Jesus told Samuel that it wasn't Samuel's word or person that had been rejected, but that they had rejected Jesus as their King. They had rejected the truth of God.
Which reminds me of that passage in Timothy. When Paul was telling him that there would be people who exchanged the truth of God for a lie, their conscience being seared. People turning away from God's truth about life.
Pray, pray, then pray again. Prayer must be lifted up to protect the unborn. Prayer must be lifted up concerning these people with seared minds. Prayer must be lifted up concerning those who are calling good as evil and evil as good.
Jesus is indeed going to come. My admonition is for indeed Him to come quickly. I pray daily for those whom the Spirit has crossed paths with me in my employment years. Prayer for salvation for those who have not given their lives to Christ.
I have not actively promoted this blog, it's God who has taken it out into the world. The Spirit can and does go places I cannot. In the lives of all in this world He goes where no one's words can go. The Bible says that it is He who searches the hearts of mankind. There is no one who can or will stop him from doing that.
There's no one stopping Jesus from returning except that one individual who hasn't yet come to Christ.
Pray for those around you, pray for your leaders. Pray for those in your life that aren't believers. Pray for a change of heart. Pray for God to move to protect babies. There's no such thing as a fetus, an unborn child is a child in the eyes of God. The unborn John the Baptist lept in his mother's womb at hearing of Mary visiting with the unborn Jesus in her.
Prayer isn't a suggestion in the Bible.
Prayer isn't warm feelings or positive thoughts.
Prayer is out direct communication to the Lord of all Creation. Prayer is taking us straight to the Throne room of the Savior of the world.
It's been said that God does nothing but by the prayers of His people...John Wesley.
If you do not pray fervently, how will you make your requests known to God?
Even so come quickly Lord Jesus.
