Yes, God is for Real
by David Brenneman
We all, at some point, need that extra boost of knowing that Jesus is near to our hearts and lives.
For those in Christ, the battlefield can be extremely lively and difficult. Satan would prefer ignorance of his schemes to rule the day.
Many many thousands of videos exist of various pets that are of them coming close to their owners and exhibiting the desire for closeness. Not many, in my experience, are not affected by these scenes.
Honestly it's a very good depiction of us with Jesus. He's the Good Shepherd. He's the one who cares for you and I the most. There's no other who has ever been in our lives or ever will be who will love us more who will always do whatever is right and best for us.
"Love never fails;" 1 Corinthians 13:8a.
In the worldly debate over the unborn...realize that it was the unborn John the Baptist who recognized the unborn Jesus. The love of God is more than the shell of a body we live in.
Jesus is the same, yesterday, today and forever. He is the Righteous King. He is the Good Shepherd. Look in the book of Proverbs. Before he got so full of self-confidence, Solomon recognized the true impact of the Lord Jesus in living life. He saw the truth and the Spirit had him write it out to help and inspire countless others throughout the centuries.
You literally have to have been out of circulation a lot to have missed the book let alone the movie "Heaven is for Real".
In it is the true story of a child's experience in meeting Jesus. Another that to me is up there with that one is "90 Minutes in Heaven". Another true story of a Pastor's experience in what Jesus used to transform his life to reach the unreachable in his world.
I, myself, have met and shook hands with truly evil people. I have no doubts about the truth of God in my life as well as having met a representative of the enemy of God. Evil is in this world. It's not just bad luck or bad karma or curses or any such thing. If you're not on the Lord's side, you'll be duped for sure concerning what's going on in our world.
Jesus wants to hear from you. Can't make it any simpler than that. Jesus invited you to receive His free gift of salvation, and thereby opened His door to a life spent with Him. A life to be lived in honor and respect for all He's done for you.
Scripture says "We all, like sheep, have gone astray. Each one has gone their own way." We are easily drawn to live life the way we want, without regard for the mission of God in Christ Jesus in this world. Satan's preference is for you to stop praying. To stop living out loud the truth of the work of Jesus Christ in you. He wants to, believe it or not, to indeed get you everything your eyes desire. Satan's wanting you to be so overjoyed with the things of this world that you will not have any need for God.
God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, the Father...all are wanting a real, right, relationship with you.
In my life, I will testify that on various occasions, Jesus HAS spoken to me verbally.
In my life, I will testify that on many occasions, Jesus has held me close and comforted me.
He has indeed never left me nor forsaken me, just as He promised.
He indeed has a plan for my life. It's not whatever my finite means of understanding can fathom. I certainly have a very high IQ. But its oh so inconsequential to whatever He's prepared beforehand for me to walk in.
While I am still searching for close friendships in this new to me hometown, my Savior is still close beside me. He’s very very real to me.
In 1999 my Savior saved me yet again. It almost cost me my physical life but indeed my Savior raised me up out of the ashes of my life to a new and more abundant life with Him.
I have seen too much evidence in my life to ever discount the truth of the reality of Jesus in this world.
It grieves me to see people embrace the lies of Satan. Grieves me to see people physically destroy with surgeries the image of God given to them by Him. Grieves me to see people support those who have done such things. We're not supposed to do nothing for people on a greased slide right into the mouth of Hell.
We're not to support people in their practiced sins by encouraging them to live in sin. We do them no favors by not pointing them to the truth of God in Christ Jesus.
The Bible speaks to the truth that even creation teaches us of the reality of God.
Science can try to explain everything away, but cannot do a thing to prove the Bible wrong. Jesus said that every single part and portion of the Bible will not pass away from coming true in its time.
The love of Christ Jesus is not just there to save us, but it's also there to be lived out in us. We really need to do more in that area of taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ Jesus. Purge those things that are keeping us from the full life in Christ.
Every single day, in every part of this world, Jesus is there...ready to hear from you.
Coming to Christ is more than escaping Hell. It's the beginning of our lives being transformed by the renewing of our minds to that life, that righteous life that God desires for you and I.
The mind of man plans his ways, but the Lord directs his steps. When we are intentionally wanting what God wants for us, life happens in ways we never saw coming.
Read a chapter of Proverbs every day of the month that corresponds to the day it is. Today would be Proverbs chapter 4 and so on. Read it through the rest of the year...the rest of your life. Watch as it impacts your thinking and thoughts about yourself and your relationship with Jesus.
Oh the truth that Jesus wants you to get to know Him more. He's only waiting for you.
