"And He was passing through one city and village after another, teaching, and proceeding on His way to Jerusalem. And someone said to Him, “Lord, are there just a few who are being saved?” And He said to them, “Strive to enter through the narrow door; for many, I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able. Once the head of the house gets up and shuts the door, and you begin standing outside and knocking on the door, saying, ‘Lord, open up to us!’ and He then will answer and say to you, ‘I do not know where you are from.’ Then you will begin saying, ‘We ate and drank in Your presence, and You taught in our streets!’ And yet He will say, ‘I do not know where you are from; leave Me, all you evildoers.’ In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth when you see Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but yourselves being thrown out. And they will come from east and west, and from north and south, and will recline at the table in the kingdom of God. And behold, some are last who will be first, and some are first who will be last.”" Luke 13:22-30
Oh the desperation that will be in the hearts and voices of those left behind after Jesus returns to take all who've trusted in Christ Jesus as their Savior!
Was thinking of the desperation in the voices of those whom rejected Jesus when He first walked this Earth during His ministry who died and arrived in Hell. Having learned the truth too little too late.
My Dear Reader, don't let that be you.
Don't be the one of many who finds themselves left behind when Jesus does return.
The world will debunk the Rapture of the Church in whatever way it can. It will be explained away as some result of some ingested chemicals or the result of climate this or that. Will be a whopper of a lie...that people will believe. Because the Spirit will step aside. The Spirit will still be saving people but oh the horrible times they will live in until they too join everyone else in Heaven at the end of the 7 years of the Great Tribulation.
It's quite possible you're deceived even right now. That you think it's a waste of your time and effort to come to Christ for salvation.
It's quite possible that you're deceived into believing that no good could ever come from knowing Jesus.
I sometimes think about people who I have known who influenced so many away from God. That those same people died and found out that they are now in Hell. Others that they deceived arriving, angry with them because they believed them. Angry at God because they don't think they were given a fair chance.
God's Word says that every single person will be without excuse. There will be no pointing of fingers because Jesus will be able to call out every single person as to how, what, when and where they decided to reject Him as their Savior and Lord.
In several places in the Bible, Jesus spoke of how desperate people will be to enter into His Heaven. All get the same thing said to them. Depart from Me, for I never knew you.
What of you? Will that be said of you?
Will you be one of the millions and millions of people who try to cry out to Jesus, too little too late?
My Friend, it doesn't need to be that way.
Salvation is never ever going to destroy the person that you were created to be. It's going to reveal that true person you were meant to be by the power of the resurrected Christ Jesus.
Satan's going to get you to dismiss what you've read so far. He's going to probably cause you to laugh it off. Maybe some will get irritated at the words said.
He cares not who goes to Hell. He only cares to shut down those heading for Heaven. Satan's never been to Hell. His demons haven't either that were not sentenced to be there by God.
All these after life commentaries of people claiming to have been in Hell...if they do not match what Jesus said about it...it too is a lie. Regardless of what you think about it, Jesus, created all things...and by Him all things exist...which includes Hell.
Read the story of the Rich man and Lazarus. There's your definitive answer as to what Hell is and is like. People and certain demons are sentenced to be there. People for certain who rejected salvation in Christ Jesus for the forgiveness of their sins. Demons that are there are in just as much distress as people for their own rejection of God.
Please understand that God isn't willing that any should perish, that is go to Hell, but that all would come to Christ and be saved. He doesn't want any to end up separated from Him for all eternity, that choice...that choice is yours and yours alone.
The Bible says to not be deceived, that God is not mocked. Whatever you sew you will reap. Whatever life you live is what you will be judged by. If you lived a life rejecting Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, that is what you will be judged upon. Without Him as your Savior, every single sin of yours remains and every single sin must be paid for as per the judgment of God. We are all born into sin. There's no one who is born sinless except Jesus Christ.
Please don't dismiss the urgency of what's been said so far. Salvation isn't going to ruin your life. Salvation in Christ Jesus will enable you to find your life.
You and all mankind have an invitation to the great gathering in the presence of Jesus. Everyone will be there. Both the saved and the unsaved. Jesus will separate all who are His through salvation in Him from those who have not. He won't ask anyone which they are. Families and friends will be separated by Jesus on that day. There will be great distress among trillions of people...and nobody will have a say in the matter.
Truth is Jesus loved you enough to take that great eternal punishment that you deserve because of your sins upon Himself. Everything you ever did or will do. But you must choose to receive His free gift of salvation. You must ask for it.
"But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart”—that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him; for “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:8-13 NASB
Your desperation can be washed away in this here and this now. The peace you've craved is only a decision away.
