Believing Isn't
By David Brenneman
We see John 6:40 in the picture, and let's go to John 3:16-21 NASB "“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him. The one who believes in Him is not judged; the one who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. And this is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the Light; for their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light, so that his deeds will not be exposed. But the one who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds will be revealed as having been performed in God.”"
The judgment that the Light has come into the world...Jesus, as John wrote in Chapter 1 is the Light. He said in that beginning chapter that people loved the darkness rather than the Light.
It's rather interesting that THE most common trait used in most good versus bad criminal type movies and television shows indeed shows or uses this "For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light, so that his deeds will not be exposed." People or whomever the bad guy is, hates the exposed truth, hates being found out. Hates being cornered with the truth.
We are given ample time and whatever opportunity is applicable to our own nature and personality, to make an informed decision on acceptance or rejection of salvation in Christ Jesus. There's trillions of people in Hell who all are awaiting the day when they will get to try to prove Jesus wrong about this and in turn will be shown every single instance.
They will be shown that which they rejected. They will see who it was they rejected.
The further people and nations move away from God's truth the worse the world gets.
Believing Isn't losing out.
Believing Isn't being weak.
Believing Isn't what the world portrays it to be.
The Bible says that the things of God are foolishness to those who don't believe. They cannot grasp what's in the light because of their love of the darkness.
1 Corinthians 2:14 NASB "But a natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned." The natural man or woman would be those who are not saved in Christ Jesus.
Before everyone in every waking moment is both grace and opportunity. The grace of God is His unmeritted favor towards all in this physical world. He, as we read in John, isn't willing that any would perish but that all would come to Christ and be saved. It's not what He wants! But the choice provided by the cross of Jesus Christ leaves that to you and I. God being God know all things as well. Knows who will forever continue to reject. A great many of these kinds of people are indeed removed from the world by Him.
For those who remain who are in the Light of Jesus Christ are to live in such a way as to honor what Jesus did for us by living according to His Word. We should be living lives that show us to be different.
Believing Isn't weakness. It's not quitting either. It's not giving up. It's providing the way to truly live.
Oh the rage, the anger and despair, the hopelessness of those in Hell. Their destiny is sealed. There will be no defense mounted to save them. They will be shown who they have denied and rejected in the person of Jesus Christ on the day of the Final Judgment. When everything about all of their lives are reviewed...the final deciding point is that book of Life. Their names will not be in it. The book of Revelation says that those whose names are not written in it are cast into the Lake of Fire.
In this life we are given...now is the only place and time...to receive the free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ and to have it written in that book. Once anyone dies the book is closed to them when they haven't, while living, chosen to receive it.
My Dear Reader do not take this lightly.
Do not hold onto bitterness or anger or anything else against God for what's happened in your life as reasons to reject Jesus. Your eternity is at stake. You cannot know all the good that God has prepared for you by continuing to refuse Him.
Jesus will come indeed on that day set by His Father. When that day arrives, the easiest if opportunities to receive Christ Jesus as your savior will have ended. After Jesus returns and all who Believe both the living and the dead are taken up, this world will know the truth very quickly. Yet it will be told lies as to what happened. Salvation will be possible but those who do come to Christ after this taking up of Believers will be marked for death.
This world isn't going to get better at the hands and minds of mankind.
This world is preparing...
Even the demons of this world are preparing...
They know they don't know when Jesus is coming yet THEY believe it is going to happen.
It's people who reject and doubt. Only people.
Satan isn't in Hell. Never has been there. He currently roams this world seeking people to devour. He reports to Jesus daily concerning his activities. He wants the Throne of God. He cares not for those who rejected Christ Jesus for salvation and have ended up in Hell. He just rages against all who are in Christ Jesus telling anyone who hasn't yet about how to be saved. He is a sore loser. He cannot read the minds of Believers and can manipulate them in other ways. False teachers for one. Satan twists the minds of the unbelieving. He indeed has his demons possess people. Many are recognizable as such others are clean cut people whom don't look the part. In Jesus's day as well as ours demon possessions are rampant.
Jesus healed people of both physical problems and demons in most every healing we read about by Him.
In our lives is a war for our minds. It's a Spiritual war that requires those who have the Light of Christ Jesus to be suited up with the whole armor of God as it says in Ephesians 6. If you don't have Christ as your savior, you have nothing to fight against Satan and his minions with.
This world is very much preparing for the Rapture of the Church. Everything from commerce to entertainment. From construction to manufacturing policies and procedures. Lean manufacturing and the whole 6S mentality, the whole process of cross training and the doing away with specialists in any given field. Everyone from Doctors to Lawyers to the person building or buying or selling is being shown they are replaceable. With a computer or software. McDonald's responds to higher wages with fully automatic restaurants that have no people. Cars being built that drive themselves. Building processes that are entirely done by machines. Artificial intelligence software that's exploded in availability online to do most anything and fool the masses into believing a human did it.
Wake up! The preparations for this world fir the return of Jesus Christ are nearly complete. All that really remains is who that last person who will be the one to be saved is saved.
Is that person you? Are you the one last person that when you finally accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, that He returns soon thereafter? Could be.
Where we spend eternity should be more important than what's possible to happen in our day. Once someone does come to Christ for salvation a life unimagined opens up. A life we never dreamed possible. Not of regrets but of seeing God working in us and through us.
Believing Isn't whatever is holding you back from salvation in Christ Jesus what you think it is. It's all a ruse a delay tactic. It's there to cause just enough to keep you from the truth.
Find out. Ask Jesus to show you the truth. Ask Jesus to make it so that even you can understand it. Go for it.
Believing will indeed take you places you never expected. You'll find that Jesus is more than you ever considered possible.
It's up to you.
