This passage in Matthew 12:43-45 NASB read it...and catch what Jesus says "Now when the unclean spirit goes out of a man, it passes through the waterless places seeking rest, and does not find it. Then it says, 'I will return to my house from which I came'; and when it comes, it finds it unoccupied, swept, and put in order. Then it goes and takes along with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there; and the last state of that man becomes worse than the first. That is the way it will also be with this evil generation."
I read this yesterday as part of a larger section both in my Life Principles Daily Bible and it was repeated in my Biblegateway plan. Oh how this is about modern man. As my mind wraps around what Jesus is saying...this is what comes to mind. The unclean spirit goes out of a man. This can and possible does mean when one is cast out of someone. In Jesus's ministry many many were cast out. Consider it well that if it was THAT common back then, it's easily as common today. Psychologists just don't want to admit this kind of thing exists. Waterless places. This certainly isn't Hell. This is everywhere darkness of mankind is. It certainly isn't any aspect of Heaven. Jesus said the world loved the darkness rather than the light. Satan's the 'god of this world'...so there you go.
The demon lays claim to the person it once inhabited. So it goes back. Note what it finds. It's unoccupied. Meaning that salvation never happened to this particular man after he was freed from the demon. Had he been saved, the demon would have found the Spirit residing within. Swept and in order likely means whomever this person was, their so-called psychologist did their 'work' on him making him 'ready' to go back into society. Upon finding what it does...it doesn't want to be kicked out again...so he brings along other demons to be entrenched this time. The last state of the man becomes worse than the first. There's little hope for the man because of still refusing Christ. He's not without hope it's just going to be far more difficult. Then the last words that are also the title. It's very very hard to not see what Jesus is saying here. Look at our society today. As I just saw in a video of what someone said of how people are so perverted these days. The whole 'identity' thing. Identifying as a woman. Identifying as a man. Identifying as a this or that. This is demon possession. The whole pushing children into being 'neutral'...this is demonic. The whole LGBTQ+ is all demonic. Every perversion outside of the estabished by God man and woman biologically is demonic.
What's got many in the hospital is partially due to demonic activity.
What's triggered mass shootings is demonic activity.
What's caused suicide bombings....is demonic activity.
What's caused the evil that IS evil in this world is demonic activity.
It's the activity of the god of this world. It's not from chemicals or medications it's about what a demon does in a person who does not have Jesus as their Lord and Savior who entertains a demon unawares.
I'm not posting this on Facebook because for sure it will trigger their 'community standards' rules. Demonic activity.
This is a message that I could not put down and had to write about. There's many examples of demonic activity in the Gospels. Jesus's words were not hidden about it. Jesus is very clear and was not speaking in parables when He speaks about demons and what they do to a person. He spoke of it here and the Gospels record the activity of those whom Jesus purged of demons. It's highly likely that this passage is a depiction of someone who had been one of the very men that Jesus cast a demon out of and had gone on his way from Jesus. On at least 1 occasion after healing someone Jesus told them not even to go back to the city in which they lived or a same or similar problem would result with them.
Consider what thoughts you entertain. There's a very very distinct reason why we're to set our minds on things above. There's reason why it's said "Finally, brethren, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there's any excellence and anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things." in Philippians 4:8 NASB.
There's a reason why people who are saved can never be possessed by demons. A demon cannot occupy where the Spirit of the Lord is. Gives you another way to think of it saying where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty.
Who's thoughts go through your mind most of the time? While demons cannot possess a Christian, they can keep, in a nagging way, whispering things in their ears. Trying to instigate sin at our own hands. From the movies we watch to the streaming or television we watch, to the music we watch, the video's we ingest...to books and everything else in the world today...it's being done to influence Believers towards accepted sin and practiced sins and to keep those who have not come to Christ for salvation trapped in such a condition that Jesus describes here.
Jesus mentioned 'this evil generation'. I believe He is talking about all who would live between His crucifixion and His return. We are living in that evil generation. No where in known human history have human beings 'identified' in ways other than God's established norms of male and female. No where in human history was it ever conceived of finding ways for men to have babies. No where else in recorded human history. No where. Even the evil of man and woman in Sodom and Gehmorrah wasn't as far fetched as what's in today's world...and THAT evil was enough to warrant fire and brimstone from Heaven in judgment.
You may disagree with what's written here. That's your choice. I am compelled to write it as it's written. Demonic activity is actually behind modern day manufacturing processes. The whole lean manufacturing thing has to do with being prepared for the return of Christ to NOT be as disruptive as it will be for Satan and his demons. The intense cross training efforts are to do with this as well. It's to limit what will happen when Christ returns. The policies and procedures of business, manufacturing, and government are being made to mirror the god of this world's plans for mankind...to prepare them to worship him through his antichrist. Don't think this is so crazy as to ignore it...had Hitler been successful the world would have been worshipping him as HE WANTED THEM TO DO. It was NOT God's timing yet for THE antichrist. Satan has one ready in every generation because he does not know when the Father set the date of Jesus returning. We're told to make the most of every opportunity...guess what...Satan certainly is to his own benefit...even if Believers don't...he will.
We do not really realize the scope of the passage of what we are in battle against! THINK about this passage in light of what we began with. It's EYE OPENING.
"For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." - Ephesians 6:12 NASB.
Truth hidden in plain sight in a movie - Sneakers staring Robert Redford. "There's a war out there, old friend, a world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think...it's all about the information!" - Cosmo to Marty in the movie towards the end.
Squashing truth is what Satan and his minions want to do. They want THEIR brand of truth to exist. They want to keep God's truth from being seen and heard.
The battlefield is in our mind. It's in our heart. It's everywhere we are...there it is.
Pray up, pray on, and pray over your life. The whole armor of God in Ephesians is about SPIRITUAL protection in a PHYSICAL world.
Consider your ways is what Jesus said earlier in the book. "For by your words you will be justified and by your words you will be condemned." Verse 37 NASB.
"But I tell you that every careless word that people speak, they shall give an accounting for it in the day of judgment." Verse 36 NASB of the same Chapter 12.
We live in a society that justifies their actions and words. They want to do the same in relationship with Jesus. They want their way to coexist with Jesus's way. It doesn't work that way. They want their being offended to offend you and to come out of your lips as being as offended as they are...and you are not allowed to be offended but you must accept and profess that you do not think in any other way than these evil people do.
Jesus said those who desire to live Godly in Christ Jesus would be persecuted. This is another reason why this is going to be so.
You may not agree with me...take it up with God. I'm not here to argue with people about what I'm told to write. I'm charged with being the task of conveying what I'm told to convey.
Being IN the word of God is as much a part of fighting this battle as prayer is. Make sure you're IN the word of God daily. Make the most of your time.
Jesus is coming soon. Will you be fighting the good fight as Paul wrote of himself? Or will you be one of those who willingly were imprisoned by the world when you didn't have to be in Christ Jesus. There's chains that Satan wants about us...and then there's those we pick up and drape around ourselves. We do this when we're NOT serious about an intimate right relationship with Jesus Christ.
Don't be like this generation. Take up your own cross and follow Jesus. The battle is at hand.
