"Children, it is the last hour; and just as you have heard that antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have appeared; from this we know that it is the last hour. They went out from us, bu they were not really of us; for if they had been of us, they would have remained with us; but they went out, so that it would be shown that they all are not of us. But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you all know. I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you do know it, and because no lie is of the truth. Who is the liar but the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son. Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father; the one who confesses the Son has the Father also. As for you, let that abide in you which you heard from the beginning. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and in the Father." 1 John 2:18-24 NASB
People really don't want to deal with evil people, but the reality is we have to and we do. What's worse is how foolish we feel if we live through those encounters that only reveal too little too late that those we entrusted indeed were really operating from evil motivations and intent. I've been there and went through that as recent as a year ago with someone I had believed to be a brother in Christ. Much as we just read in 1 John 2 that he wrote of concerning where antichrists came from.
We keep seeing a world picture being painted of a bright and awesome future...but Scriptures say that's not going to be the case before Jesus Himself reigns from Earth reigns from Earth over all the Earth. In that time after the 7 year Great Tribulation when He will be ruler over all mankind--in person.
False teachers are prevalent in the professing Church today. People are swayed by those who say what they really want to hear. The more people agree with what's being said the more they follow. That's a rough statement. But the Bible says in 2 Timothy 4:3-4 NASB "For a time will come when they will not tolerate sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance with their own desires, and they will turn their ears away from the truth and will turn aside to myths."
This is a reality in the professing Church today. We see in the news of church splits. We see of churches taking a stand for things that the Bible clearly says are sin...and people are flocking to those churches. In other words the reality of 2 Timothy 4:3-4 is happening right before our eyes.
Attacks on Jews are happening daily. The news outlets in the United States don't like to cover those so they don't.
Being in the Word of God is imperative. It's beyond important to KNOW what's truth from what is not. We cannot rely on Facebook, on Instagram, on Tiktok or the internet for what is truth. People rely on that and are either easily swayed towards passionate outbursts for or against things reported. They aren't seeking truth, they are seeking to find someone to say what their itching ears are wanting to hear.
Itching ears. Every pay attention to cat and dog owners? Of how well pets love to have their ears scratched? Human's follow the same and don't even realize they are there.
We see daily of what I've been charged to write about. Of how quickly life can take a turn, of how life can end for those whom we least expect it. People who "had so much to live for" yet leave suicide notes saying quite the opposite.
The reality is this: You die without Jesus Christ as your savior...and you wake up in Hell. You deny Jesus you're in Hell after you die. Simple as that.
THE Antichrist that will come upon the world will be no different than what we just read in 1 John 2. He will be very persuasive. He will garner many millions of followers. In fact he will not only welcome the worship and adoration of these people, he will demand it of everyone. If you're still here after the Rapture of the Church, if you don't eventually join in worshipping this man, it means a death sentence.
To be rejecting Jesus isn't healthy both in this life and the one to come. In this life, we have the choice and the chance to come to Jesus to be saved. He's reaching down into this world with an outstretched arm to pull people to safety in Him if only they would ask. In this life we have to make that choice and it will be made. Will be? Yes. You either are saved or you're not. You're either one or the other. There is no 'not deciding'. There's no just trying to be good enough to have the good outweigh the bad. It is not acceptable to the God of the Universe.
My Dear Reader: Soon words such as you're reading will not be tolerated by a world that doesn't want to hear them on a scale unseen.
In this here, in this now, choice is in your hands. You know not if you even have a rest of today to decide. Only Jesus knows. I don't even know if I have a rest of today. Nobody does. Most accidents happen within a few miles of a person's home. That former coworker's husband only stood up to get coffee and fell down dead. Knowing people who thought they only had a bad headache end up in the hospital. Life takes sudden turns and we can't possibly be ready for it all.
People who call themselves "Preppers" delude themselves thinking they can prepare for what 'might' come. Truth is Jesus spoke of someone such as that. A rich man thinking he was planning for his future and was essentially told he was being foolish because that very night his life would be required of him.
You do not know if you have seconds, minutes, hours, days or years ahead of you. But you CAN know if you're safe in Christ Jesus by coming to Him to be saved. Then things like that won't matter. 1 blink of an eye later you would be standing in Heaven with Jesus, not standing in torment in Hell away from Jesus.
This world is NOT getting better. It is NOT going to until, as I've written, Jesus reigns Himself for a thousand years. This too is ONLY after the 7 year Great Tribulation where BILLIONS will be dying. I know I won't be here. I am praying that all of you won't be here either.
Life is moving at a pace we cannot keep up with. We need an anchor in the storms of life. We need to KNOW we are safe in Christ Jesus. May today be your first day in Christ.
