The Story...of You

The Story...of You

A man goes to the hospital, is looking for a place to park.  Ends up way far away from the building since it's so busy.

He gets out of his car and is lost, doesn't know where to go. He finds another man arriving and tells him his plight. The man assures him that it will be ok. He will park near him and take him to the entrance.

As they walk together and talk, by the time they get to the entrance he finds out the one who helped him was the Surgeon. The surgeon pointed to his personal parking space as they walked in.  In order to guide him safely he gave up his position and authority to see him safely to his destination.

The story you just read wasn't my own creation. I heard it last night listening to Dr. David Jeremiah preaching.  He told it and said that it's a way to look at the Christmas story.

Jesus left everything in Heaven to come here to bring as many as would come to Heaven.  He gave up His position, power, and authority in order to seek and save the lost.

All of us are that man lost in our lives, in need of a Savior. Jesus is still in the business of obeying His Father.  Seeking to save all who are lost.

You too can be among the found in this world that make it to Heaven's gates if only you would come to Jesus for salvation.  He sacrificed Himself to take your place, to pay the price of your sins, that God said was necessary to find salvation in Christ Jesus.

Don't think that you have a life to live before you come to Christ for salvation.

Don't think you're too messed up to come to Christ for salvation.

Don't think you have to get yourself right before you can come to Christ for salvation.

He took care of your debt.  Your very breath is in His hands.  Your present and your future are not yours to count on.

You can let go of your worries, your shame, your ways of trying to exist in this world rather thanive in this world.

Your Savior awaits your response if you haven't asked.  He is ready to forgive and to begin a new life in Christ Jesus with you.

Christmas is not about high tech gifts or any gifts save one.  The gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ the Son of God.

To that man who was ushered into the front door of the hospital by the Doctor, he was in debt to him for his help.  We who have come to Christ are in debt to Jesus and ought to be living lives that reflect gratitude and thanksgiving.

I have no desires for gifts this year. No need for any save one.  That those who read this blog find their salvation in Christ Jesus.  There's a hymn written long ago.

Jesus Paid it All

I hear the Savior say,"Thy strength indeed is small,Child of weakness, watch and pray, Find in Me thine all in all."

Refrain:
Jesus paid it all,
All to Him I owe;
Sin had left a crimson stain,
He washed it white as snow.

2 Lord, now indeed I find
Thy pow'r and Thine alone,
Can change the leper's spots
And melt the heart of stone. [Refrain]

3 For nothing good have I
Where-by Thy grace to claim;
I'll wash my garments white
In the blood of Calv'ry's Lamb. [Refrain]

4 And when, before the throne,
I stand in Him complete,
"Jesus died my soul to save,"
My lips shall still repeat. [Refrain]

There's only 1 gift that keeps on giving, it's the free gift of salvation in Jesus Christ my Lord.
