Where he won't go.

Where he won't go.

Now when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushes against the people of Ammon. 2 CHRONICLES 20:22

When King Jehoshaphat faced the combined armies of Moab, Ammon, and Edom, he proclaimed a national fast and begged for God’s help. “We have no power against this great multitude . . .,” he prayed, “nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You” (2 Chronicles 20:12). A prophet named Jahaziel gave this reply: “Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s” (v. 15). It was then that Jehoshaphat realized he had a secret weapon. He appointed choirs to go before the armies of Judah. With all their hearts, these royal musicians sang and praised God for His assured victory. As this unlikely vanguard neared the battlefront, the Lord threw their enemies into confusion, and Judah won the battle—not with soldiers, but with songs. How often we need to echo Jehoshaphat’s prayer! Sometimes there are problems we can’t solve. Sometimes our pressures are beyond us. “Oh Lord,” you can pray, “I don’t know what to do, but my eyes are on You.” Praise is the Christian’s secret weapon. Satan is allergic to praise; he just can’t remain where God is being glorified. - Dr. David Jeremiah Morning and Evening

There's actually places where Satan doesn't want to go or to be near.

The greatest is to do as he is seen doing at the opening chapters of the book of Job.

Job 1:6-7 "Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them. The Lord said to Satan, “From where do you come?” Satan answered the Lord and said, “From roaming about on the earth and walking around on it.”"

1 Peter 5:8 "Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour."

Satan and those who follow him, roam this world. Spreading untruths to the world. Attempting to set up his own kingdom. Using whatever he's permitted to use.

There's a few things that he hates. First of many is praising God. This is an affront to his plans. The biggest there is in his plan to conquer the world is to turn mankind towards worshipping him and not God.

Satan cannot stand believers because of whom they belong. He hates everything they are instructed to do.  Read again what Dr. Jeremiah is saying about praise and it’s effect on Satan and his minions.

Read this in Ephesians 5:19-21 and see the connection.

"speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your hearts to the Lord; always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to our God and Father; and subject yourselves to one another in the fear of Christ."

Satan won't go where his enemy is being praised. This is why he puts such efforts into discouraging the children of God.

Satan has had a plan from his fall from Heaven to be seated on the Throne of God.
The created wants to be hailed as the creator.  When praise, honor and adoration are rightfully given to Jesus Christ instead, he cannot abide by it.

Sometimes all it takes to make him flee is to just break out in songs of praise to God.

Note that he prowls about the earth. He has never had a Throne in Hell. He doesn’t want anything to do with being in Hell. He knows that is a place of torment. He knows it's a place even he doesn't want to go. His minions, "Legion", were terrified that Jesus would send them there. His demons are terrified of Hell. Some are already there and cannot leave.

You would do well, my Dear Reader, to realize the battle that goes on around you. You are worth it all to Jesus Christ, but are a pawn only in the eyes of Jesus’s enemy.

Jesus loved you and I enough to endure the worst Satan could throw at Him to save you. It was a dark day when at the high of the day Satan's worst hit the cross.

Praise of God isn't weakness on our part as believers. It does more for the soul than anything else. It takes the mind off the problems of life. It puts our focus on the one who can do something about them.

If you have come to Christ, praising God is part of breathing to you.  It's a preemptive strike to Satan's plan.

If you haven't come to Christ, the truth is, you're on your own against someone as evil as Satan or his minions.  You will be ran over because the only one who has the power to contain him and them is Jesus Christ. Jesus is the answer to anything Satan or demons can come up with.

You can enter battle with Jesus leading the way, or fight a hopeless battle without Him.

Even unbelievers in their darkest hours can call out for God, but thats really not enough. Jesus doesn't want weekend visits with us. He wants full custody of our hearts and minds. We were not created to live for ourselves, but to live for Christ. To worship Him.

It's up to you, but, realize this you are indeed being manipulated by the 'god' of this world in order to keep you from recognizing the truth of God's Word. That Jesus loves you and wants to save you.  Praising Him brings life to a weary soul.  It causes Satan to flee. It drives demons away.  They are indeed allergic to its effects.

Open your eyes to the truth and the truth will set you free.
