For this cause everyone who is godly shall pray to You In a time when You may be found. PSALM 32:6
A German farmer settled in Guatemala and became prosperous. While sailing back to Germany to visit family, he discovered that a tropical flea had taken up residence under a toenail and laid its eggs. Instead of dealing with the painful problem then and there, he let the toe fester so his family could see the foreign insect. By the time he got to Germany, blood poisoning had set in and the farmer died. The farmer made a faulty assumption: that he had plenty of tomorrows in which to make a life-or-death decision. We are not guaranteed any set number of days on this earth, as the apostle James wrote: “[Life is] a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away” (4:14). Every person faces a life-or-death decision, spiritually speaking, and many put it off indefinitely. They think there will be plenty of time to consider God’s place in their life: “I want to be saved, just not right now.” Do you see the faulty assumption in that statement? None of us is guaranteed tomorrow. If you have been putting off a spiritual decision, make it today. Today is the day of salvation for all who don’t know what tomorrow holds. - Dr. David Jeremiah Morning and Evening
Consider well the dangers of putting off til tomorrow what you should be addressing today.
“Truly, truly, I say to you, the one who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life. John 5:24
Everyone through the veil of excitement and living in the moment fails to understand that they are a heartbeat away from death.
Don't believe me? Don't believe God in this? Look up the statistics for yourself on how many people die at home, within a few miles of home. The sheer volume of people who never expected to face death is beyond staggering if you really stop to consider it.
People live in denial of the hazards of life. People live in denial of their welfare all the time.
People are often aware of a nagging need to get right with God yet always figured they would have more time.
When facing the gruesome reality that he inadvertently created in the movie "Wargames" the lead character has a meltdown about this very thing. He always thought that he had more time.
Time is not your friend. Time originally was created for Adam and Eve and had they not sinned it literally would have felt like an eternity even though it wouldn't have been. Without sin they would have lived on practically indefinitely. Sin came and mankind died. After the judgment of God in Genesis to do with the Flood, the vapor canopy collapsed. Radiation from the sun began degrading the physical world and degradation of the human brain began. Prior to the Flood mankind was able to use a vastly greater amount of his or her brain power than any genius today is capable of. There was no physical reason for them NOT to have 100% brain usage.
Yet evil thoughts and actions are what came of it. Death came of it. Every single person alive when the Lord Jesus opened up the skies and broke open the waters of the deep to flood this world...thought they had a tomorrow.
Read what Jesus said. People were marrying and being given in marriage. People, as evil as they were, were living life not thinking that that day it was going to end.
Jesus said that when He returns it will be exactly the same thing.
People will be living life. Evil men will proceed from bad to worse. People will be marrying and being given in marriage.
People will be in a global panic when millions vanish in the blink of an eye.
Families will be playing with children and babies nursing when they will vanish from their arms. People driving cars, trucks, planes, construction equipment will vanish while they are in motion. Schools will see vast amounts of children vanishing. Planes will indeed fall from the sky due to there being no pilots.
All those left behind will know something supernatural has happened and the world governments will dredge up some whopper sized lies to explain it all away.
If you have not received Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord you WILL be here and you WILL be lied to as to where everyone went.
As a Scripture I quoted the other day said "The fool says in his heart that thete is no God". Are you that fool?
Are you like that character from the movie that once the Rapture takes place you will be crying out to God because you thought you had more time?
Satan is flooding the world today instead of God this time.
Satan is flooding the world with sin-laced opportunities to stay away from Jesus and the free gift of Salvation.
Satan is responsible for the global flooding of sinful activities that cover everything from what is called entertainment to horribly gruesome deaths that take place daily.
Satan is flooding the world...are you at all interested in the Ark of Safety that is Salvation in Christ Jesus? It's the only way to find safety. It's the only way to be prepared for that day that you never expect to come. That day that either will be your end of life due to death or that day of the return of Christ Jesus.
You can be as that German was in that devotional. You can be like that rich man in this parable. Luke 12:16-21
And He told them a parable, saying, “The land of a rich man was very productive. And he began thinking to himself, saying, ‘What shall I do, since I have no place to store my crops?’ And he said, ‘This is what I will do: I will tear down my barns and build larger ones, and I will store all my grain and my goods there. And I will say to myself, “You have many goods stored up for many years to come; relax, eat, drink, and enjoy yourself!”’ But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your soul is demanded of you; and as for all that you have prepared, who will own it now?’ Such is the one who stores up treasure for himself, and is not rich in relation to God.”
Nobody likes being called a fool. But that's exactly what people are referred to who believe that their time isn't at hand in this life.
Some may think:
But if I do then I'll never...
But if I do then I can't...
But if I do then I have to stop...
Really? Your desires outweigh a future of pain and suffering in Hell vs a life in peaceful rest with Jesus?
You put off until tomorrow what you can do today in coming to Christ you may very well regret it. The Hell on Earth that will happen for the next 7 years afterwards isn't going to be any imaginable utopia. Billions will be dying in those years. Billions will be flooding Hell faster than is happening now. Billions. In one judgment alone 1/3rd of mankind is wiped out. Do the math. Nearly 7-8 billion here on Earth now. What's 1/3rd? For this description possibly a billion are raptured. Leaves around 6 billion. 1/3rd of 6 billion is 2 billion dead.
Jesus had left plenty of evidence to be found in this world in which we live to validate the Bible.
You can die in ignorance to wake up in Hell or you can do something about it. Either way you only have two destinations possible.
Get real with yourself and God today.
Don't assume you have a tomorrow let alone an afternoon left in your life.
Don't assume that the rest of the world must be right about God because, again, Satan is flooding this world with his lies.
You have to choose for you.
