Our plans...His Plan
Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all
that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.
Ephesians 3:20
At times we feel as if we could impress God with all we are trying to do for Him and His church. Yet God has yet to be impressed with even the most grandiose human aspirations (Ps. 8:3–4). You will never set a goal so big or attempt a task so significant that God does not have something far greater that He could do in and through your life. Saul of Tarsus worked harder than anyone else to impress God with his efforts, only to discover that his greatest achievements were but rubbish compared to God's will for his life (Phil. 3:7–8).
Our problem is that we become too easily enamored with our own plans. If we are attempting to do noble or difficult things, we assume that we must be experiencing the maximum potential for our lives and that God must, therefore, be pleased with us. Until we have heard from God, we cannot even imagine all that our lives could become or all that God could accomplish through us.
We need to remind ourselves that the Father sees the “big picture,” that His power far exceeds our limited imagination. We must set aside our own agenda, however lofty. We must never become satisfied with our own dreams, for they are finite at best. When we follow God's direction, we will witness things happening in our lives that can only be explained by His powerful presence. How could we be satisfied with anything less? - Blackaby Experiencing God Day by Day
Oh how quickly we can get excited about making plans to do this or that. We have ideas and if we're honest with ourselves we really haven't thought 10 percent through them yet are willing to jump in all the way to start them.
Note the plurality that is missing in the comparison. We have plans...God has a Plan.
God doesn't need more than 1 plan for us, the Church or the world, let alone the Universe.
We, as often as we try, are always revamping our plans because we don't know enough up front. God knows everything up front. Big difference.
We get upset when it didn't go our way.
God's never experienced that.
Someone might cite the fall of Man in the Garden of Eden. Might go to citing the rise of Satan. The answer to both is no. God was never surprised, taken off guard, by what transpired. He didn't stop n scratch His head and have to figure out what to do next. Read what Is said about the Tribulation. If God hadn't shortened it to what it is going to be, nobody would survive it. Read it differently. If God hadn't already planned for history to unfold the way it has and will, nobody would survive it. All history including prehistory regarding angels and demons was included in that.
In no way has God ever been surprised. God had never thought nor said "Wow! I didn't see that coming!"
We are likely heading for darkened days for Christians after the 20th of January. In our country at least the Democrats are out to squash or even go as far as try to destroy the Church. The Church reminds them that their agenda is evil. That the people groups they are defending are practicing sin in the eyes of God. That the group's they support should be accepted no matter what.
In regards to all people, the need to repent and turn to Salvation in Christ Jesus is both needed and necessary before the Rapture of the Church. That isn't being anti-inclusive, that's the Word of God. God's proven Words of Authority have both existed and have been shown to be true towards all mankind.
In regards to the Democratic agenda, they will be shown that God wasn't surprised by anything that transpired in our election process. They will be shown that as Scripture says, God will not be mocked. God protects His Church. Authorities may persecute the Church but they cannot do anything concerning them without the permission of God.
God's Plan was never thwarted when Jesus was tempted in the desert by Satan.
God's Plan was not disrupted when Jesus was crucified.
God's Plan was fully executed when all the forces of darkness tried to keep Jesus in the grave. He arose from the dead.
God's Plan to seek and save the lost is still working out every day.
God's Plan to return to reclaim the dead in Christ Jesus and the living in Christ Jesus WILL happen and will NOT be thwarted.
The Scriptures say that God establishes rulers and He removes them. President Trump was an answer to prayer for millions of people. Yet the noisy minority refused to see it that way. The next administration will pick up where President Obama left off in persecuting Christians and the Church. Trying to force them to accept people in regards to their hiring practices that is against what the Bible teaches. They will try to force them to accept abortion as something they need to pay for, regardless of what God has to say about it. They will try to shutter as many Churches as they can to silence the opposition to the embracing of sin that they will promote.
My prayer is that of Daniel's example. To continue to pray daily for the sins of my nation and my people. He was in the center, the Capitol of the harshest ruler in his world. He disregarded the fact that he couldn't go to a Temple to pray. He knew which way to pray. He disregarded any laws on it because he knew God's laws were what mattered. Even if it meant his life, he would follow God.
Rather than rage, use what God has put before us. Prayer.
The nation's are going to rage against God because He tells them that sin is unacceptable and must be dealt with. That the wages of sin is death. That Salvation is free and only through Jesus Christ. It really is God's way or the highway...to Hell.
