Your will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven. Matthew 6:10
When God changes things how do we react? Are we looking for His hands in the change or are we selfishly looking at ourselves and what that change means to us?
I look back 2,000 years ago at the world then. The Roman Empire was unlike any before it. Undoubtedly, similar to today's culture, it was revolutionary. It was doing things and going places none had before it.
Yet, for over a century it's been gone. Oh, prophecy says a revised Roman Empire will return in the last days. But look deeper in what was to get a perspective on today's situation.
I can hear prayers of old, hear of people publicly fighting for what they now had under Roman rule. But it comes with God's hands in it
Our rights seems to be the theme of today's world. What's to become of them? Our Constitution appears to be getting dismantled people say. We must fight back! Rally around a someone and rebel!
Step back, if you are a Christian at least, step back. Quit trying to brandish YOUR own sword but pick up THE Sword.
What did Jesus say to pray for? Hmm?
Did He tell us that we would be able to be healthy, wealthy and prosperous? Read it for yourself. We were never promised that. He promised to meet our needs. He promised never to leave us nor forsake us. He promised that in this world we would have troubles. He promised that if the world hates us as Christians to remember the world hated Him first.
Then there's the commands. Commanded not to grumble or complain. Commanded to love one another as Christ loves us. Commanded to love the Lord Your God with all your heart, mind, soul and Spirit.
Commanded to pray for our leaders.
Told to return evil with good. If forced to walk a mile go 2 miles. The Church in the waning days of the Roman Empire were persecuted throughout the Empire. The greatest civilization of its time was crumbling. Yet God's Word was found to be true.
In our day, the Church is under fire by liberals. By those who oppose the Word of God. Trying to force the Church to cave in to their sin.
Then there's more of the Bible coming true. The Church being influenced and infiltrated by unbelievers to do that which is against God. Churches attacking people in politics. Church members attacking our leaders on their playing field rather that on their knees before Jesus. We were warned of people who would be infiltrated the Church. Problem is the Church has allowed itself to believe it's weaker than the world. It's forgotten it's first love as Jesus warned of in the letters to the Churches in the book of Revelation. It's allowed anger to rule where the peace of God should be.
So it comes down to this my dear reader.
Whose Will will be done? Do you want what you think you are entitled to or do you want what God says is right for you?
You cannot live for self and live for Jesus.
Regardless of the reality of this world we still have our orders from the Word of God.
Reality is this...the United States isn't mentioned in the Bible. Some try to substitute nations it does mention with the USA. But it's never about us. The end times are ONLY about Israel and the 70th week of Daniel's prophecy. Our nation is already following in the footsteps of the last days of the Roman Empire. Our world is preparing for the last parts of the Bible to come true. God's will is for THAT to happen. There's the blunt truth for you.
God's will is for His Will to be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.
It will mean changes in culture and status of people. It will mean everything that the Bible says must happen to happen.
It does NOT say we will overcome all of this to return to what once was.
Jesus, when asked about the future of a Disciple, simply said, What is that to you? YOU follow ME.
Are you walking in obedience or are you walking in disobedience? Regardless of the outlook of the world we follow Christ.
WE are to follow HIM.
We probably won't like where life is going.
WE are to follow Christ.
We probably will have our rights trampled on.
We are to follow Christ.
We will face trials and tribulations of various kinds.
We are to obey Him in all things.
We are to follow Christ!
