When will Christ return? This question has been pondered much through the generations. The imminence of His coming provides the backdrop for everything the Christian does. Christ has not revealed exactly when He will come, but He has told us signs to watch for. The time of His coming is unclear; the fact of His coming is certain. Jesus said that certain events would signal the nearness of His coming: There will be wars and rumors of wars; there will be famines and earthquakes; Christians will suffer persecution for the sake of Christ; false prophets will come and teach heresy, leading many astray; lawlessness will abound as people do what is right in their own eyes; the authorities will be unable to control crime. Because of lawlessness, people will become cynical and fearful, and their love for others will grow cold (Matt. 24:6–12). Jesus said that the signs of the end times will be like birth pangs. The pain of childbirth increases in frequency, and it increases in intensity.

The evidence is mounting. Do you see it?
The proof is palpable. Are your eyes open to it?
People in the news, scientists today, do whatever they can to dismiss it. But the fact that the events in this world are accelerating. There are indeed many earthquakes and famines in various places. The volume is increasing. A key reason is 'on-demand' buyers. They strive to not have a surplus. Surplus is now viewed as wasteful.
Earthquakes are increasing. It has nothing to do with drilling, fracking or anything of the kind. The Bible is clear, the Earth and all that is in it belong to the Lord Jesus. He causes the sun to rise and set on the righteous and unrighteous. He governs the Sun, Moon and stars. Tidal forces have long been linked to the Moon and Sun. Sunspots are increasing. They impact our communication systems in orbit. They impact our growing seasons.
The Bible mentions pains like childbirth and the Earth. Watch any video on childbirth and you will see the similarities.
Wars and rumors of wars. In our day and age it's near impossible to have a rumor about a war. Instantaneous communication makes showing anything practically immediate. So we see the wars that are escalating everywhere in a moment. Those same news agencies are pawns of their governments, hiding events as well as showing them. The Bible, again, is clear. This world is heading for a one world government. To achieve that, regardless of what you believe, there will be wars to bring it about.
Lawlessness will increase. Man vs man. To the point where the government's of this world will not be able to control or contain it. The sheer irony that the government's desire to silence a person's right to free speech or remove their right to defend themselves had only added fuel to lawlessness. It's made it worse everywhere they have been successful in silencing or disarming people.
The evidence is clear. Everything Jesus said to look for is happening. The one who restrains as mentioned in the Bible is the Holy Spirit. Until He steps aside in doing so these pangs will continue and increase in frequency.
Meanwhile, the enemies of God continue to try to either water down the Gospel or teach outright falsehoods about God and the Church. Saved people help to find others who aren't. The enemies of God do not want this. It's no wonder that so many so-called churches look no different than the world. The warnings of being wary of wolves in sheep's clothing were never heeded.
Evidence is there to be seen. Jesus is very close to coming back to take home those who have placed their faith and trust in His finished work on the cross.
The Bible tells of the nation's desire to eradicate Israel. Read the headlines. Look familiar?
Are you ready? Or is your world more important than God's calling for you? Is your wants and desires more important than the mission that God has for you?
Are your things more important than what God had for you to do?
I can't answer for you. But I can tell you there will be countless millions surprised by His return that shouldn't have been.
Be honest between you and God.
If you are a believer who is unhappy. Ask the Spirit why it is. Is it your disobedience in not doing what you have been told or ate you clinging to idols? Consider carefully before you dismiss those questions. How will you answer Jesus when He asks you about your life and what all you were given to do for Him?
