Blackaby writes:
God's answer was, “I AM!” That is, “Moses, I’ll be whatever you need Me to be as you carry out my assignment. If you need miraculous signs in order to convince Pharaoh, then that is how I will express Myself. If you need Me to interrupt nature and part the waters of the Red Sea, then I will demonstrate Myself in that way. If you require food and water, then I will be your provider. If you are afraid, I’ll be your strength.”
Think about that!
I have said to others in recent days that I can't relate to people who don't know Jesus as their savior.
Jesus is in my life. For those who, for however long, have been close to people who are saved, they don't have this assurance!
It is saddening to see people who have grown up without a relationship with Jesus. They have claimed to be saved yet their attitude and life doesn't show it.
They are actually embittered against other believers that it's evident are walking with Jesus. Their tone and words sadly give way to the truth that they have missed it.
They honestly don't appear to be saved.
For those who are about to go on a 'you shouldn't judge' rant with me, consider that Jesus told us how to look at a person and to see from their life just what happened to the seeds of faith in Him.
He mentioned the seeds that fell among the rocks. Among the shallow grounds and what happened in the fertile ground.
He gave us a mind to discern truth from falsehoods. He told us who walk with God that if any man lacks wisdom, to ask of Him who gives it freely to all who believe.
I have family that appears to have squandered the life they could have had with Jesus. You know of people too that have or are missing out on a life with Christ. Those who we pray for daily, or certainly should be praying for daily.
It's absolutely not our job to cause the growth necessary to bring someone to Jesus! The Bible says the work of growth is only the job of the Spirit of God.
But our job as workers in the Harvest is to tend to what is planted. Nurture and care for. To love those plants as the owner of the Vineyard does. We work for the owner.
It's His harvest. His fields.
He gives us a mind and understanding of what constitutes a weed or pest that seeks to devour the crop. We are indeed fruit inspectors.
So what about you? Are you feeling distant from God? Why? What are you holding onto? If you are being truthful are you mad at God for something? An illness that took a loved one? An illness that has incapacitated someone you know? A financial crisis? Things breaking all around you and you see no relief in sight so you get mad at God?
Get past that. Be honest with Yourself and God. God is not at fault for exercising His Will in your life or the lived of people you love. He is God, we are not.
He is in the place of knowing everything, we aren't even close to knowing everything.
God is OUR I am. He is just as present in our here and now as He was with Moses.
He is everything we need Him to be to fulfill His plans for us and those we know and love. His ways are higher than ours. His thoughts above ours.
We accomplish nothing by being mad at God. Embittered people are very difficult to deal with. They have a hardened heart and only prayer will break through.
With Prayer our I am can do anything and everything. It provides a peace we cannot understand. It provides understanding where once there was none. It busts through the darkness to show His light.
Pray without ceasing He says. That's how the I am stays on the Throne of your life.
