Blindness

2 Corinthians 4:4 "in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God."

In this life, there are two ways blindness occurs. The natural and the unnatural. 
Dig a little bit deeper. Try the physical and the Spiritual.

In this physical world blind people are either helped or mocked.  They can be ignored or empowered. 

In the Gospels we read of people born blind before Christ came to Earth in Bethlehem.  When they met their Savior, He not only healed their physical eyes, but their Spiritual ones as well.  None were the same. 

Yet, even with being exposed to the real Spiritual light, many who were healed of their physical problems were immediately hit with Spiritual blindness again.
Luke 17:17-19 "and he fell on his face at His feet, giving thanks to Him. And he was a Samaritan. Then Jesus answered and said, “Were there not ten cleansed? But the nine—where are they?Was no one found who returned to give glory to God, except this foreigner?” And He said to him, “Stand up and go; your faith has made you well.”

Spiritual blindness is real.  Either you are seeing the true light of Christ or you see the false light of the god of this world. Satan.

Read that again "in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God."

Satan knows that if he cannot win, that he will take whomever he can with him.

He has tried for 6 thousand years to find a way to make any of even the smallest aspects of the Bible wrong.  Jesus said that not even any part of it ever would be pass away from being fulfilled.

In the Spiritual world there are only two lights.

Satan goes around LIKE a roaring lion.

Jesus is THE Lion of Judah.

Satan does what he does because he wants God's Throne. He lies, deceives. Twists any of the smallest aspects of truth into a lie.

The evil that you see in this world is not there because of physical kindness.
The evil that you see in this world is not due to psychological illness.

The evil that you see is due to sin.

Where the Spirit is there is Liberty.  2 Corinthians 3:17 "Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty."

A person who is saved by the blood of Jesus cannot be possessed by a demon.
Anyone else can be.

Let me repeat that. If Jesus is indeed your personal Savior, you cannot be possessed by a demon. 

You can be attacked by one. But even then only if it is permitted. Demons are not allowed to run rampant on just anyone now that the Holy Spirit was given 2000 years ago to seal believers.

Satan blinds the minds of whomever he can with an artificial light. The only true Spiritual light comes from Jesus.

What do you see with your Spiritual eyes?

Where do your thoughts go?
What occupies your heart and mind?

Ephesians 5:19 "speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord;"  is this you?

Was reading the other day about how God didn't give believers a Spirit of fear. 

I have been there. Perhaps you have too. There are and will be times when life will seem to be too much. Even with Jesus present in our lives.

A storm was brewing.  Winds blowing hard.  Waves crashing.  The Disciples had Jesus THERE IN THE BOAT.  It bothered Jesus not a bit. No fear. They were afraid.
Even with The Creator there.  Who happened to be sleeping during all this.

They wake Him. Cry out to Him. His answer wasn't to say "Aw no! We're in trouble! Let's stick together, we can figure out how to survive!"

No. He got up and reminded the storm who was boss.  He told the winds and waves to calm down.  The King said so.
Then He turned to them.

Spiritual blindness can be so deceiving.

The Bible says to test the spirits.  Find out if they are really from God.  Find out.

In a crazy war time battle often a guard will call out  "Friend or foe!"

Blinded minds. Look at our world.  People who stood firm for something years ago don't anymore.  Ignoring their own words.

People so bent on inclusiveness they will turn on anyone who isn't.  Blindness.

People who assault children. Blindness.
Murdering of babies. Blindness.
Sexual perversion. Blindness.
Stealing. Blindness.
People who murder a group of people because they hold fast to the Gospel. Blindness.
People who believe that homosexuality is normal. Blindness.
People who have sexual relations with animals.  Blindness.
People who are addicted to pornography.  Blindness.
People who are addicted to gambling. Blindness.

In all the above cases of blindness...every...single...one...justifies their views in their own mind.

What was it like before God destroyed the world by a Great Flood?

Every man was doing evil continually.
Every man was doing what he or she considered right in their own eyes.

The same thing as today.  Blindness.

So how are your eyes? Your Spiritual eyes.

Anger at the truth doesn't remove the fact that it is true.

God is not willing that any would perish but that all would be saved in Christ.

God has the lifejacket. He has the ability to save you. You are the only who can take the lifejacket. Only you.

Jesus loved you enough to take away your sin.  But you have to want His offer of Salvation.  You have to ask for Him to come into your life and to save you.
Turn away from those things He says are sin and turn towards Him.

You can rub your physical eyes and often it helps with restoring your sight.
Unless you stop and realize you need to do the same thing with your Spiritual eyes you won't realize you have a problem.
